The Canopy Tour Experience
Shawnee Bluffs Canopy Tour is Southern Illinois’ premier outdoor experience, set on 83 private acres surrounded by the Shawnee National Forest. Built in partnership with Geronimo Construction, a world-class canopy course builder, the tour was designed to showcase some of the most breathtaking terrain in the Midwest.
Unlike most zipline courses, Shawnee Bluffs is a 100% tree-based, true canopy tour — with no man-made towers or concrete structures. The course features 8 ziplines, 3 aerial bridges, and 3 short scenic hikes. Guests cross a secluded valley above a natural bouldered creek four times, including a signature 1,100-foot zip reaching speeds of up to 40 mph. The adventure concludes with a 180-foot aerial bridge back to the forest floor.
